Traffic At Lucknow

Traffic Light of Lucknow are habitual of getting failed frequently. Many crossings were handleled by the traffic police yesterday as only the yellow lights were blinking , this lead to traffic chaos . Two Points Of Lucknow where even if you want to follow traffic lights you can't are Royal Hotel and Burlington Crossing . These crossings are facing the worse traffic of Lucknow . and if you follow the lights you will be caught up by cops for breaking the traffic norms !! The only place where people tend to follow traffic lights is Hazratganj Crossing.

Good to See the Patch work done in some areas after the Rain especially near Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital and Polytechnic Crossing. But Still many holes are left hopefully they all will get repaired.

RakshaBandhan and Lucknow

Raksha Bandhan (the bond of protection ) is a Hindu festival, which celebrates the relationship between brothers and sisters. It is celebrated on the full moon of the month of Shraavana.

The festival is marked by the tying of a rakhi, or holy thread by the sister on the wrist of her brother. The elder brother in return offers a gift to his sister and vows to look after her same while an elder sister returns offers to her younger brother. The brother and sister traditionally feed each other sweets.

In 16th century, Rani Karnavati of Chittor sent a rakhi to the Mughal Emperor Humayun when she was threatened by Bahadur Shah of Gujarat. Humayun abandoned an ongoing military campaign to ride to her rescue.

Sweet Shops in Lucknow were the Hotspots of Lucknow , People were very keen in selecting Rakhi's . GPO Lucknow arranged some special and frequent movemnet of delivery vans to ensure that every Rakhi must reach its Destination. Thankx to them. Plz Tell us in Comments How you Celebrated Rakhi or a funny Incident of Yours on Rakhi and we will publish that in our Lucknow Blog.

Happy Raksha Bandhan Lucknow !!
